We believe that disciplined Investing is the cornerstone of any successful wealth planning strategy. We are not seeking the next trend or “hot” investment, and we only consider investments that are consistent with our clients’ risk tolerances, liquidity needs and time horizons. We endeavor to be long-term Investors, and do not engage in active trading in client portfolios. As fiduciaries, we must be diligent in protecting what our clients have worked so hard to accumulate. Our strategy identifies select investments that we think are temporarily out of favor, but have strong upside potential. The greatest returns in the market are often achieved when one takes advantage of the asymmetry between real and perceived values. Of course, growth is only part of the equation, we must also be steadfast in demanding that businesses we own provide a reliable stream of income for their stakeholders; this is a key component to portfolio growth over time.
Our Approach to Investment Management
First, we develop a customized investment strategy for each client based on an understanding of their desired investment return, ability to tolerate fluctuations in portfolio value, tax constraints, investment time horizon, near and long term cash needs and any preferences related to types of investments.
Second, we recommend an overall investment portfolio allocation across different asset classes.
Third, we evaluate all existing holdings to determine portfolio structure with sensitivity to client preferences and any tax ramifications.
Fourth, we recommend and implement a combination of investments by applying all of the above considerations.
Finally, we monitor portfolios regularly to ensure that we remain aligned with the original underlying investment strategy.
Why A.G. Campbell Advisory?
Founded in 2012 by veteran industry professionals Alexander “Zandy” Campbell and Mark Scott, A.G. Campbell Advisory was created to provide a level of personalized service generally unavailable within a large financial institution. Our mission is to provide independent agnostic advice to our clients, and to act as a steward of their financial resources. Remaining independent allows us to focus primarily on our fiduciary duty, where we place our clients’ interests ahead of our own, and it neutralizes the conflicts of interest inherent in larger institutions.
